The Government of Guinea-Bissau, through the Ministry of Public Health, has officially enacted Dispatch No. 31/GMSP/2025, establishing the National Pharmaceutical Traceability System , “AVGroup Pharmaceutical Traceability Hub.”
Implementation Timeline: will be within two years
=During three months, All supply chain actors must register and submit product & location master data.
=By Nov 2025, All manufacturers and MAHs to complete registration in the national system.
=Within 1 year, Serialization of primary packaging (GTIN, batch, expiry).
=Within 2 years, Serialization extended to secondary package(sGTIN) and logistic units (SSCC).
Non-compliant actors will be prohibited from manufacturing, importing, distributing, or dispensing medicines until full registration and compliance are achieved.
