The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority(SAHPRA) released the Guideline on traceability of health products
Time line will be
-Phase 1 (2025–2029): Batch-level identification with GTIN, Expiry Date & Batch/Lot.
-Phase 2 (2027–2031): Transition to unit-level serialization (GTIN + Serial Number).
