Last Call for GTIN & Packaging Data , No Data, No EDA Services
Within the Egyptian Drug Authority’s ongoing digital transformation and track & trace readiness, EDA has announced the final extension for Phase I data entry on the Pharma Data Hub until January 29, 2026.
What must be completed
- packaging data
- GTIN assignment for every packaging level
EDA warns In simple terms: no GTIN = no digital existence.
failure to complete data entry within the specified period will result in the inability to provide EDA services for products with incomplete data across various automated programs and internal workflow systems, which require full product data including the GTINs for each package.
- Companies that already completed data entry do not need to re-submit
- The company bears full legal responsibility for data accuracy, validity, and completeness
This is a master data gate closure before full-scale enforcement of pharmaceutical track & trace in Egypt.
