Following the conclusion of Phase 1 of the trial, NMVO Italy announces the start of Phase 2 of the NMVS Pilot Project with saleable drugs starting from June 2026.
Phase 2 involves the involvement, on a voluntary basis, of a group of MA Holders who will place on the market saleable packages that comply with the rules provided for the stabilization period. These packages will be equipped with the GS1 Data Matrix code referred to in the Ministerial Decree of 6 March 2025, an anti-tampering device and the "Annex B" Security Device in Valori Paper referred to in the Ministerial Decree of 20 May 2025.
The operational details that will govern phase 2 of the pilot project are currently being defined and will be issued by the Ministry of Health, for subsequent dissemination to the entire supply chain through publication on its institutional website.
MA Holders interested in taking part in this phase must submit their application no later than Thursday 18 June 2026, by sending a communication directly to the dedicated e-mail box of NMVO Italia: onboarding@nmvo-italia.it.
