One of the interesting results that caught my attention from the RISE Conference, held on October 29 in Tashkent, #Uzbekistan, was shared by CRPT Turon
During the event, Fazliddin Saidullayev, Development Director of CRPT TURON, highlighted some impressive figures following the introduction of the checkout permit regime in March 2026:
Counterfeit cigarettes decreased from 35% to 6%.
241 million product units were checked through the system.
2.2 million units were blocked from being sold.
I always believe that numbers speak louder than words. They reflect the real power of Track AND Trace systems and their contribution to combating counterfeit products.
Protecting legitimate manufacturers, reducing illicit trade, improving market control, and creating fair competition are all part of the bigger picture.
This is exactly why I believe we need more countries to share real implementation results, lessons learned, and measurable outcomes with the global Track AND Trace community.
Great to see #Uzbekistan sharing these figures
