Italy’s NMVS system of NMVO Italia is now officially connected to the #EMVS (EMVO | European Medicines Verification Organisation Hub) production environment as of May 11, 2026.
MAHs and OBPs should begin preparations for serialization compliance in #Italy, including Product Master Data upload and artwork updates.
During the stabilization phase, products with GS1 Data Matrix, safety features, and anti-tampering devices will follow specific operational guidelines issued by the Italian Ministry of Health.
Initial batch releases will be managed through a dedicated pilot phase called “Pilota Fase 2,” with further details to be shared by #NMVO Italia and the Ministry of Health.
