Some countries announce deadlines and implementation plan for their pharmaceutical track and trace hub like South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA),Jordan Food and Drug Administration المؤسسه العامه للغذاء والدواء الأردنيه( JFDA),Algeria and Gambia.

while others took rapid steps following the release of new guidelines, starting master data registration like Ethiopian Food and Drug Authority (EFDA), Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) ,and Guinea-bissau on their national platforms, or even starting by a pilot to validate their guidelines like National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) ,RWANDA and Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ),while others introduced system platform changes like NHRA.

This progress clearly reflects the strong commitment of regulatory authorities to fight counterfeit of medicine, strengthen control over the pharmaceutical market and upgrade their WHO maturity level.

As someone closely following and participating in regional track and trace initiatives, it’s inspiring to witness how the region is moving decisively toward digital transformation in healthcare and pharmaceutical regulation in this small period of time.
