According to AL-MAL news ,The shortlisted companies represent the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers by market share. They include Pharco Pharmaceuticals, Amoun Pharmaceutical, EVA Pharma, Medical Union Pharmaceuticals (MUP), Alexandria Pharmaceuticals (Alexandria Company for Pharmaceuticals & Chemical Industries), Apex Pharma, Nile Co. for Pharmaceuticals & Chemical Industries, Memphis Pharmaceuticals, El Nasr Pharmaceutical Chemicals Co., and Rameda.
The relevant authorities are currently assessing the readiness of more than 3,600 licensed pharmacies authorized to dispense controlled medicines, in preparation for their integration into the new system. The assessment also includes 57 pharmacies operated by the Egyptian Company for Trading Pharmaceuticals, commonly known as "Ambulance Pharmacies," which are distributed across different governorates.
