As part of our continued focus on tracking updates of the pharmaceutical track-and-trace landscape in Egypt, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly met with Dr. Ali El-Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), to review key ongoing initiatives. During the meeting, Dr. El-Ghamrawy highlighted progress on the National Pharmaceutical Track-and-Trace Project, which is designed to establish an end-to-end national system covering pharmaceutical products from manufacturing or importation through to patient dispensing. He also confirmed that the regulatory guideline has been finalized, and that work is currently underway on a staging (pilot) environment using test data, paving the way for the launch of Phase One in the coming year.
